If you’ve followed HART on social media for any length of time, you’ve probably noticed something: we like to have a little fun.
From chili cook-offs and fish fries to cornhole tournaments, corn roasts and an ice cream bar complete with a soft-serve machine, there’s usually something happening around HART.
Give us a food-themed holiday, and there’s a pretty good chance we’ll find a way to celebrate it.
In fact, some of our favorite comments on social media are the ones asking some version of the same question:

There’s a lot more to working at HART than the activities you see on social media.
We’re a locally owned Green Bay company that has spent more than five decades designing, building and supporting equipment for customers throughout the food and cheese industries.
We take pride in the work we do, but we also believe there should be plenty to enjoy along the way.
51 Years In Green Bay
In September 2025, HART celebrated a major milestone: 50 years in business. This year marks 51 years of HART designing and manufacturing equipment right here in Green Bay.
A lot can change in more than five decades. Technology evolves, equipment becomes more advanced and the needs of food manufacturers continue to change. But one thing that has remained important at HART is the people behind the work.
Being locally owned means our leadership is part of the day-to-day company. The people making decisions about HART are invested not only in the future of the business, but also in the employees who make that future possible.
That combination of experience and continued innovation gives employees an opportunity to build on a long history while still working on new ideas, technologies and customer challenges.
We Take Our Work Seriously. Ourselves? Not Always.
Building equipment for the food industry requires talented people and a lot of collaboration. Engineers, machinists, fabricators, welders, programmers, assemblers and other team members all play a part in bringing HART equipment to life.
But working hard doesn’t mean work can’t be fun.
Food has a way of bringing people together around here. Over the years, that has meant everything from chili cook-offs and pig roasts to fish fries and lunches catered by local businesses. More recently, we’ve held a corn roast and cornhole tournament, and we’re always up for celebrating a good food-themed holiday.
National Strawberry Sundae Day? We have a soft-serve machine. Of course we’re celebrating.
Some activities are organized by the company, while others come together because employees have an idea and want to make it happen. It’s all part of creating a workplace where people can get to know the coworkers they spend their days working alongside.
Fridays Start The Weekend A Little Earlier
Wisconsin summers never seem quite long enough, so we like to make the most of them.
From Memorial Day through the first weekend in October, HART employees enjoy Summer Fridays, with the workday wrapping up at noon every Friday.
That might mean getting an early start on a weekend up north, hitting the lake, spending more time with family or simply enjoying a Friday afternoon away from work.
It’s one of the ways we try to recognize that life outside of work matters, too.

After 51 years, Green Bay is more than simply where HART is located. It’s home.
Being based in Wisconsin also gives our work a connection we’re proud of. Wisconsin and cheese have a long history together, and our team gets to play a role in that industry by building equipment used by cheese and food manufacturers.
For someone who enjoys manufacturing, engineering or simply seeing how things are made, there is something rewarding about watching a project take shape right here in Green Bay and knowing where it’s headed next.
Our employees aren’t simply names on an organizational chart. They’re the machinists, engineers, fabricators, assemblers, programmers and support staff whose skills and ideas have helped HART reach 51 years and continue moving forward.
There Is Serious Work Behind All The Fun
The cookouts and ice cream may make for good social media posts, but they aren’t what makes the work itself interesting.
No two customers or production environments are exactly alike. HART works with food and dairy manufacturers on equipment designed around different products, applications and production needs.
That gives our employees opportunities to solve problems, work on innovative projects and see ideas move from engineering through manufacturing and into a finished piece of equipment.
Depending on the role, employees may also have opportunities to travel, work directly with customers and grow into new responsibilities as their careers develop.
For our CNC machinists, the parts they produce don’t simply disappear after machining. They become components of larger systems built and assembled by coworkers throughout HART.
There’s pride in being able to look at a finished machine and know, we built that here.
Good Work Is Better With Good People
Company culture can be difficult to explain in a job posting.
It’s not one specific benefit, event or perk. It’s the people you work beside every day, the way leadership treats employees, the opportunities you’re given and all the little things that make coming to work more enjoyable.
Sometimes it’s an opportunity to advance or take on a new challenge.
Sometimes it’s a company outing or lunch together.
And sometimes it’s walking past the ice cream machine and discovering that somebody decided today was a good day for sundaes.
